Pet-Friendly Music Video for Those Dog Days of Summer!

July 21, 2009

I’ve already blogged about the awesome dog-friendly beaches in Santa Barbara, California. But sometimes you just have to see it to believe it.

And yes – I’m a huge Weezer fan. This one in particular is like my “power song” – it’s going through my head as I’m fetching that ball that’s just out of reach over the next wave!

Enjoy! And leave me a comment and let me know how you’ve been spending your summer!

My Dog-Friendly Taste of San Luis Obispo

October 5, 2008

Wine Tasting Room with Dog Friendly PatioEmilia and Nick were celebrating their 3rd wedding anniversary and because I’m such a lucky dog, I got to tag along! Apparently last year, I was only a few months old so they were too busy looking after me to celebrate. But now I’m all grown up so I get to go on my first trip to the Central Coast. The drive was uneventful, except for when Nick decided to go through the drive-through car wash at the gas station. Luckily Emilia knows how much I hate sitting in the car with the water hitting and brushes slapping … it totally freaks me out! So we watched from the sidewalk and I got to say “Hi” to all the nice people filling their tanks with overpriced gasoline! It’s like $3.70 a gallon – I’d rather drop that kinda cash on bully sticks.

Anyway, we drove up the coast and stopped for lunch in San Luis Obispo… Nick is OBSESSED with the tri-tip sandwich at the Firestone Grill. He stops there whenever he is in the area. And now I know why! I got a taste myself. See, Nick rubbed some tri-tip juice on a rawhide bone for me… they tend to do bring bones for me when we dine out. Maybe they think I can’t finish my own portion?  I could if they let me try.

Then we went wine tasting! Another first for me. SLO’s Taste has this great dog-friendly patio where I could hang out. Through the window, I could see that this place had a lot of different wines, and Emilia said something about them having an Enomatic wine pouring system so you could sample up to 72 different wines from producers all over the region! But the best part about it was the nice lady who came outside to talk to me! She told me about a great dog beach that she goes to a few miles from Morrow Bay. I love meeting people and finding out about more dog-friendly places that I can explore!
